Beauty Discovery at the BDJ Box Beauty Social

I attended the first BDJBox Beauty Social with my sister last March 24, 2013 at SM MOA Atrium. BDJBOX is the perfect beauty box for every subscriber. The BDJ Box Team will try to customize all the products based on the profile of the subscribers. I subscribed to it for only Php480.00 a month. I learned about it from my friend, Anna Monique when we had attended a Wordpress seminar last October 2012. She handed me a sticker of BDJbox and took a picture of me with the sticker. That's how it all started. :)

We arrived at 1:00PM even if the scheduled talks (Beauty Bridal by Lilian Yeung and Day to Night Glam MakeUp by Bianca Valerio.) was set to begin at 5:00PM.

So we took a stroll around the area and we did get a lot of freebies from their partners:Goody, Pantene,Shiseido, Browhaus, L'occotane, Physiogel, Snoe, Cover Girl, Max Factor, Revlon, Strip, Dentiste, Selena Gomez, Yuka, Fashbook, Women's Health and
Cosmopolitan. My sister and I were super "kilig".

Here are some of the captures at the event.

I wanted to give it a try for I have hairs right above my upper lip (lol). But I was hesitant to try threading which we know it really hurts. I would have gone if it had been waxing which I know less painful.

Another cool thing is that even if you were not scheduled for a particular talk, you could still hear whatever the discussion was about.

Everyone Looked Curious: The Debut Fragrance of Selena Gomez whose smell is like fruity, perfect for all seasons!

Having tried the Photo Opp at the event, I can't really wait to see my picture on the BDJBox fbpage https://www.facebook.com/bdjbox

 My pretty sister.

She is Lilian Yeung, the make-up artist for Estée Lauder Philippines. What is special about her is she is proficient in airbrushing, bridal, beauty, and fashion editorial make-up.

She did a 1-hour demo/talk about wedding make-up (which I consider too short yet very informative). So, after the talk, three (3) individuals were given opportunity to ask her questions. I did raised my hand but I wasn't called. That's why after her talk, I approached her and asked stuffs (can't let the opportunity go away lol) like what make-up technique and what can she suggest for pre-nuptial photography because there are times when it is done under the sun, or at a garden, amusement park, or even at the beach. I also asked what the best time to start make-up prior the wedding, which brush is better, airbrush or just the normal one?

She said she does a combination of airbrush and the normal ones. She added that I could do normal make-up but it would depend on the kind/type of make-up that I would use.

I want to have this Invisible Fluid Makeup :) See no makeup. Feel No Makeup

I learned a lot from Bianca like the "artist’s color Wheel" on the application of makeup.

Once you've learned about the color wheel and your skin tone type, you'll definitely know the best and exact shade for your skin. You will no longer buy make-ups "just like that". So, at that very moment, I found out that my skin tone is yellow undertone.

I almost forgot, I asked her what her sides on BB cream, and then she gladly answered my query. Finally, she gave me goodies to whoever asked her a question. Thus, I got stockings as a price. Cool, isn't it?.

Goodies from BDJBox event.

After all those surprises and fun, I and my sister  felt satisfied because we learned so many beauty tips--how to take care of skin, how to look good, how to stay pretty, healty and young and a lot more! We look forward to another BDJbox event.
